COEN's June Community of Practice Meeting
Wednesday, June 27th, 5:30-7:30 PM
Panera Bread, 640 S. Colorado Blvd
Topic: Data Parties: Using Participatory Data Analysis to Engage Stakeholders
Facilitators: Peter Rumbach and Bridget Neuchterlein (The Evaluation Center, University of Colorado Denver)
These meetings are informal, with a specific topic, facilitator, and practice-building purpose to guide discussion. They are intended to let you share with and learn from your colleagues and grow in the profession.
From 5:30 to 6:00 we will gather, introduce ourselves, and get coffee or dinner at the counter if you wish.
At 6:00 we'll start our program: Data Parties: Using Participatory Data Analysis to Engage Stakeholders
What’s better than sitting in front of your computer alone analyzing those data you worked so hard to collect? A data party! It’s an opportunity for us evaluators to share our results with key stakeholders and decision makers in a participatory setting. Stakeholders can share crucial information and context in the interpretation phase of your evaluation. Data parties also provide stakeholders an opportunity to hear diverse perspectives and give evaluators a chance to gain buy-in for using evaluation results. Evaluators from The Evaluation Center - CU Denver will provide an overview of Participatory Data Analysis, offer examples of approaches you might use, and facilitate a discussion on integrating it into your work.
This session is for all experience levels and all types of evaluators. Please bring your questions and insights to share from your own evaluation experience. Also bring a colleague!
We'll be mixing it up in terms of venues and types of Community of Practice events, so keep an eye on our announcements. Would you like to facilitate a future meeting? Reach out to us with your idea at Colo.Eval.Network@gmail.com and let's chat.
