About the Session: Photovoice is a participatory research method useful in evaluation contexts that benefit from an empowering, trauma-informed approach. Drawing from her own experiences using Photovoice for evaluation, Debbie will briefly share how and why Photovoice was developed, an overview of the process, and how it aligns with trauma-informed principles. The objective is for participants to leave the session more knowledgeable about Photovoice and where to find more information about it, and inspired to try it when the right situation arises. This virtual session will incorporate a didactic portion and an interactive portion. Please plan to bring one photo that you take yourself to represent your answer to the question, “What is one thing I want from my evaluation community?”
Intended Audience: Evaluators with any level of experience
