You'll have a chance to meet-and-greet your new Board members, hear a recap of 2017 and preview of 2018. Learn from our fabulous guest speaker Laura Pinoseault (Director of Evaluation, Spark Policy Institute) who will share her thinking on "The Evolving Evaluation Landscape: Integrating Systems Thinking and Developmental Inquiry into Your Approach".

"Evaluation is a learning profession and we are ever evolving and adapting the ways in which we approach evaluation in response to the needs of our clients, environments and communities it serves, and the deepening understanding of the principles that guide our work. This presentation and discussion will delve into the key shifts in context that are driving a need to integrate systems thinking, developmental inquiry and sustainability into our traditional approaches to better position ourselves as strategic thought partners and "critical friends" in identifying and defining solutions to complex problems. We will also discuss the tension of the evaluator role and the push-pull between accountability to results and maintaining adaptivity and nimbleness in evaluation methods and approaches."
